About Plumeria
Our Story
Born out of the intersection of opportunity and a need for change, Plumeria Botanical Boutique came to be on September 15th, 2015. After learning of a storefront for sale in Battle Creek, Elisha Hodge put her Grand Blanc home on the market and left it up to fate.
One week later she was moving to Battle Creek and making an offer on her future flower shop and boutique. With her art background, including an art degree from Central Michigan University, and her business insight from commercial banking, she knew she could make a go of it. It was risky and intimidating, but she was up for the challenge.
After spending some time surveying the landscape of the business models most florists were following, she decided to make some major changes. The first of which involved getting rid of all the wire services that almost all florists use to help them get orders.
The business was slowly built organically, gaining the confidence and trust of all in our wonderful community. From retail flowers, to wedding & event flowers, to plants & gifts, Plumeria has come to have something for everyone. We have been blessed with wonderfully supportive friends, family, and an amazing community. It is only because of you that we are here.
